Wild Food Dance & Song Earth Painting Gallery
Wild Food is a passion central to my life. I much prefer foraging in the woods, hedgerows and seashore to the cold aisles of the supermarket. The plants are bursting with vitality, flavour, healing and nourishment. In the summer particularly, the time of edible flowers and sea vegetables, the beauty of a meal is breathtaking. I teach, taking people out gathering. Then we prepare a fine feast and eat together. It awakens a depth of experience and connection to the Earth which we have almost lost.

Nature is always dancing and singing. My natural response is to dance and sing.

Nature opens me, brings me into powerful presence where I feel free and whole.

This deep journey of discovery and ecstasy, I share in performance, paintings and workshops.

My studio at the end of the garden looks out over the graveyard. Sometimes when a fresh grave is dug, they cut into a seam of satin smooth clay. I like to use this clay for my pots and sculptures which I fire in the earth kiln by the studio. Down by the stream beyond the railway line, I find more rich coloured clay and stones for preparing the Earth Pigments for my paintings. I love the Earth. To me She is Mother. Her beauty is my inspiration. Her bounty always fills my basket. My creativity is nourished by Her. I love the immediacy, the intimacy of painting with the Earth Herself. I aim to make myself available to Her, to keep out of the way so that She may use me as a channel to paint Her message. Most of the paintings are of well rounded Woman, thus celebrating the feminine in the parched desert of patriarchy. I want to bring Her in big and strong, to bring balance, and us back to our senses; to cherish Life, the Earth which gives us Life; to reconnect in humility and dignity with the Source; to re-awaken and embrace the adventure of being truly Alive!
HEARTH HEART EARTH ART

It is essential that we transform how we are living. Our survival depends on our willingness to learn from nature. This beautiful Earth is our one and only home sweet home. Through my workshops, paintings and performances I would like to share with you my passion for Wild Food, Dance and Song and Earth Painting and so deepen our connection with the Earth.

I give thanks to our great Mother Earth, whose body and spirit support, nourish, and inspire me. I thank my mother, Mary Wondrausch, O.B.E., painter and potter, for sharing with me her love of Nature, creativity, beauty and good food. I thank my partner, Adrian Jennings, for his beautiful photographs throughout this site and Graham John at Greenevents, who helped me put it all together.
