DANCE & SONG

I love to dance and to sing.
Dance flows through me, songs come to me.
I see the sea and I have to dance, I have to sing.
The sea lifts me, the sea carries me.
In the woods, by a river, in the warmth of the sun I let my sides down and open up. I become expansive.
The river sings to me, calls me. I hear a choir, an orchestra.
Accepted as I am, unjudged, I let my voice soar.
I sway with the trees.
I feel their roots deep in the ground, my own roots reach down with them. The Earth holds me.
The tapestry of life, above me, below me, within and without fills me with awe. I am swept along in a rush of wonder.
The Earth is my temple. This is my prayer. This is my ecstasy.

I have studied various dance forms since I was a child and formed choreographed and performed in companies in europe and us
My dance now is an opening and surrender to the moment, following the unfolding movement of a prayer, a heron, a warrior, water, woman…

In the Wild I feel wild and free to explore: to dance and to sing.

The power and beauty in Nature touches and ignites the power and beauty in me, inspiring me to sing and dance.

This in turn inspires my paintings, performance and workshops.

I perform regularly with Daughters of Elvin, the medieval music and dance ensemble
